Job Description

We are seeking a Production Control Planner to join a client in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time position. The role is 100% onsite.

Position Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for developing and executing production and resource plans to optimize capacity utilization and ensure the timely fulfillment of customer demand. This role oversees production scheduling, capacity planning, material readiness, yield performance, and workflow execution to support operational efficiency and achieve output commitments. The Production Planner works cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability, tester utilization, and workforce requirements.
  • Monitor material readiness and proactively coordinate with Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to address material shortages and delivery concerns.
  • Manage and monitor Input, Output, and Shipment (IOS) activities to ensure alignment with production and delivery commitments.
  • Generate, release, and track production work orders and rework orders to support manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely fulfillment of repair and service requirements.
  • Partner with Production, Customer Service Representatives (CSR), Warehouse, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues impacting production schedules and customer deliveries.
  • Review manufacturing orders (MO) and repair orders (RO) to ensure timely closure and accurate system transactions.
  • Analyze and report key operational metrics, including manpower utilization, material consumption, production output, and KPI performance.
  • Prepare and communicate capacity plans based on equipment utilization, cycle times, labor availability, yield performance, and material inputs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and resource utilization through continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, production control, master scheduling, materials management, inventory control, or shipment fulfillment within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma, or related supply chain certifications are a plus.
